Professor Jesse Jou: Moderator

Before joining Texas Tech as Assistant Professor, Jesse Jou worked as a freelance theater director based in New York City, primarily on new or contemporary plays. He has directed work at Actors Theatre of Louisville; HERE Arts Center; Ars Nova; Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater; the Lark Play Development Center; the New York International Fringe Festival; The Kitchen Theatre Co. (Ithaca, NY); and the Yale Cabaret. He was the Artistic Director of the 2010 Yale Summer Cabaret and Staff Repertory Director of The Acting Company. He is an alumnus of the Cherry Lane Mentor Project, the Drama League’s Directors Project, the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab, and the Civilians R&D Group. He received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama.

Dr. Hyojung Cho: Translator

Dr. Hyojung Cho is an Associate Professor in the Museum Science and Heritage Management program in the Texas Tech University. She holds an M.A. in Museum Science from the George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Arts Administration, Education, and Policy at the Ohio State University, with specialization in heritage conservation. Her academic interest is on investigating the use of heritage resources for today’s purposes and ways for safeguarding them, which makes her passionate for communicating, learning, and cooperating with the diverse players beyond the boundaries of academia on the field of heritage.
